من القصائد الجميلة التي قرأتها و أحببت أن تستمتعوا بقراءتها
و هي للشاعر الإنجليزي روبرت هيرك
بعنوان
to Daffodils وهو نوع من أنواع الزهور
To Daffodils by Robert Herrick
Fair Daffodils, we weep to see
You haste away so soon;
As yet the early-rising sun
Has not attain'd his noon.
Stay, stay,
Until the hasting day
Has run
But to the even-song;
And, having pray'd together, we
Will go with you along.
We have short time to stay, as you,
We have as short a spring;
As quick a growth to meet decay,
As you, or anything.
We die
As your hours do, and dry
Away,
Like to the summer's rain;
Or as the pearls of morning's dew,
Ne'er to be found again.
شرح القصيدة :
Fair Daffodils, we weep to see
You haste away so soon;
الشاعر هنا يخاطب مجموعة من الأزهار الجميلة , يخبرها بأنه حزين جدا
لأنه يعلم بأن حياتها قصيرة جدا ,
يبكي متحسرا لعلمه بأن هذه الأزهار سوف تفارقه قريبا .
As yet the early-rising sun
Has not attain'd his noon
الشاعر يؤكد مره أخرى قصر حياة هذه الزهور الجميلة , يبدو أنها تولد في
الصباح وتموت و الشمس
في كبد السماء , أي أنها لا تستطيع العيش حتى ينتهي النهار !
Stay, stay,
Until the hasting day
Has run
But to the even-song;
And, having pray'd together, we
Will go with you along.
الشاعر هنا يناشد هذه الزهور بأن تبقى معه لأنه يريد أن يستمتع بجمالها ,
والشاعر يعلم بأنذلك صعب , ولكن كثر خير هذه الزهور إذا بقيت معاه حتى وقت المساء !
وفي هذا الوقت , يستطيع الشاعر و هذه الزهور أن يؤدوا الصلاة , وبعد ذلك يموتون سويا .

الشاعر يرجع لنفس الفكرة وهي المدة القصير للحياة , ينمو الشيء ليواجه أخيرا الموت ,
ربما أن اللحضات الحلوة في هذه الحياة مثل فصل الربيع , أجمل فصول السنة الذي يظهر
لوقت قصير ثم يموت !

الشاعر يشبه حياة البشر و حياة الزهور مثل المطر الذي يأتي في فصل الصيف
" قصيرة جدا " , ويشبهها بمثل حبات الطل التي تأتي في الصباح و تختفي بظهور
الشمس " شبه حبات الطل باللؤلؤ "
إذا كل شيء جميل سرعان ما يزول في لمح البصر , ولا يبقى لنا سوى الحزن
و الرسم بالكلمات ....
