Last words from underneath the rubble

I am here in this dark place, Surrounded by death I smell nothing
but death and fumes.

I don’t know where I am or where my children are now or where my brothers
or the rest of my people are.

I opened my window to a sunny beautiful morning , indicating a pleasant
start of the day, after the days of rain.

I was getting ready to go to work when I heard the first strike, the second
and the tenth. The earth moved the sky was aflame. Everything
has suddenly changed. The kids were still at their schools.
The ambulances sirens
were sounded and death was everywhere.
I realized now that the crows are back in our skies
only this time was like no other time.

This is the worst attack since 1948 . 200 Martyrs in just seconds!
The injured were uncountable and the destruction was everywhere.

I paused for a moment thinking of my daughter at school .. my family where
could they be now.. my friends too.. What on earth happened to my people ?? Catastrophe.

I shot out like mad , running on the sad streets that were filled with people
in great pain for what has happened to their beloveds.

They were rushing in opposite directions, as death was everywhere
looking for whatever remained of their houses & families.
On the news
it was 40 martyrs , then 70 then I lost count. I comprehended nothing
of the mumble jumble on the radio news. All I could hear was the sirens
of ambulances and the fire brigades rushing to the unknown.

I felt that my daughter’s school was very far, as I was , like the others with me
running fast but not yet reaching there. We looked at one another praising Allah
that we are safe and trying to find out who the survivors and the martyrs were.

Finally I reached the school and grabbed my daughter in my arms
Running to get her home, I heard that the martyrs now are 100, Disaster!

No one could tell whether those martyred belonged to Hamas or to Fatah
or any other group. What matters is that they were all Palestinians and
belonged to the same Palestinian people. Their blood blended
and so did their sadness . Bereaved mothers, sad men & women just
widowed and orphans, oh! so many orphans.

It is not gas or electricity that I want for. I want back those martyrs
I that I so much miss. I want back those friends that left me all alone

I want back my brethren that were brutally killed by the Zionist crow
I want back all those dear to my heart and to their families hearts.

Israel never meant nor aimed to destroy only Hamas. Israel aimed to
destroy all what is Palestinian, and kill all who is Palestinian
However the unity of our blood made us listen to the sound of reason
Brothers that were divided by blood are now reunited by blood
as the enemy is one and same for us all.

I am now under the rubble, in the darkness all around me is black
I do not know if my voice can reach you or if you could hear me at all
Please tell me if anyone out there you can hear me
or ..am I dead

الكلمات الاخيرة من تحت الانقاض بقلم : حسام ابو النصر

اني في مكان مظلم ، لا اشتم الا رائحة الدخان والموت ، لا اعرف اين انا
الموت من حولي ، اولادي اين .. اخوتي عائلتي ... شعبي ، سكرات الموت .

كان النهار جميلا هذا الصباح فتحت نافذة الشرفة لاطل على حالة الطقس فاذ به
مشمس عن الايام السابقة والمطر خف . احسست انه نهار جميل للعمل بدات
ارتدي ثيابي للخروج ....... وكانت الضربة الاولى فالثانية فالعاشرة في نفس
اللحظات ، الارض اهتزت ، السماء تحترق ، كل شىء تغير الاطفال مازلو في
المدارس ، الاسعافات تنطلق ، الموت الموت في كل مكان

ادركت ان الغربان عادت تحلق في سماءنا ولكن هذه المرة ليس كاي مرة
انه اخطر واقذر عدوان منذ عام 1948 م اكثر من 200 شهيد في لحظات ولا
تحصى الجرحى والدمار فهو كثير ........

وقفت للحظة افكر ابنتي في المدرسة ....... اهلي اين هم ..... اصدقائي
ماذا حدث لهذا الشعب ؟؟؟ الفاجعة

خرجت مسرعا اجري كالمجنون في شوارع حزينة مليئة بالناس الاليمة على
مصابها الجلل ، تجري في كل مكان وفي اتجاهات متعاكسة لتنوع اماكن الموت
وكل يبحث عن اجزاء بيته وافراد عائلته من عاش ومن ومات منهم شهيدا .

ادركت حجم المصيبة انباء عن 40 شهيد اول خبر وفي لحظات 70 وبعدها
لا علم لا انباء اذاعات تتحدث من كل مكان وسيارات اسعاف تنقل ومطافىء
تسرع الى المجهول ، وتتلاحق الضربات . احسست ان الطريق الى مدرسة
ابنتي بعيد جدا وانا اركض مسرعا كباقي الاهالي الخائفين على ذويهم وابناءهم
اصدقائي في الطريق كل من رايت وراني نحمد الله على سلامة بعضنا البعض
ونتسال من عاش ومن مات لا نعلم حتى الان .........

وصلت المدرسة وتلقفت ابنتي في احضاني مسرعا ، علنا نجد طريق العودة
بدات تتكشف الحقائق اكثر فاكثر تجاوز عدد الشهداء الـ 100 انها المصيبة .

من هم هؤلاء الشهداء فتح ام حماس ام من اي فصيل ، لا انهم ابناء الشعب
الفلسطيني الواحد ، اختلطت الدماء ، واختلط الحزن
امهات ثكالى حزنى ، وارامل جدد ، وايتام باعداد لا تحصى

لا اريد غاز ولا اريد كهرباء ولا اريد طحين ، اريد شهداء فقدتهم
اريد اصحاب تركوني وحيدا ، اريد اخوتي الذين باغتتهم غربان الصهيونية
اريد العزيزين على قلبي وقلب اهلهم . اسرائيل ابدا لم تستهدف حماس اسرائيل
قتلت كل من هو فلسطيني قتلت كل الشعب الفلسطيني

اليوم التحمت الدماء داعية الى الرجوع لصوت العقل ، الى اخوة تفرقوا بالدم
ولن يرجعهم الا الدم ، فالعدوان واحد ، انني الان بين الركام ولا ارى سوى سواد ،
لا اعرف هل يصل صوتي هل تسمعوني .........
ارجوكم هل احد يسمعني ....
لا ادري قد اكون انا من فارقت الحياة .
