Idioventricular Rhythm
Idioventricular rhythm is a sequence of beats of
ventricular origin that are faster than the usual
ventricular escape mechanism and slower than a
defined cut-off for ventricular tachycardia. The
usual escape rhythm of ventricular origin is
termed idioventricular rhythm. Such rhythm
generally exhibits a ventricular rate slower
than 30-40 bpm. When the rate is faster
than 30-40 bpm, the rhythm is called
an accelerated idioventricular rhythm
