How come ??

The English Language is today's world language , Yes of course there are so many reasons for this spread of English Language all over the world ,
I have been told that : British council used to be a charity helps to spread English Language and teaches it for free , but not any more , However . it's still used as an examble for the most affective charities that could manage whole the world .

English Language has been sort as tow big parts or we can call it tow accents , if we have a look at the word " English " of course , it means the language of England , but American people claim that their English langauge is the most beautiful and the very standered Enlgish language .

Yes perhaps U.S English is beautiful but what i am trying to understand is ; How come that American English is the standered English Language ?

although we all know that it came first from England .then obviousely British people spread it to wherever they could reach !

Dear Huthaifah you brought a really warm issue that has got numerous discussions but still as one of the biggest issues that is nowadays .

when i used to study in the U.K a teacher of mine talked to us about this issue

maybe this is the main reason that made British people do not accept American English although it is one language .

once i said to a shop keeper ,: Do you do cell phones ? his answer was sorry we do not say : cell phones we say mobile phones .

then i said excuse me : this is my language and i can say whatever i wanna say .

honestly i do not speak American English but i said that just to see if it is true that British people do not accept it .

basicly English language is one language and if you speak one of them you will defenitely understand the other one despite of this slight difference between them .

for me as a british English speaker i would say that : British English is better and more inteligible than American English .

without doubt English Language started in the Parisia Islands which is situated in the German sea then it came to England , and up to now in Parisia they speak a language very similar to English language and you can understand them .

but the people who first spoke English were English people themselves who live in England .

do not worry Huthaifah American people are used to stealing evey thing .

they even say that : England is the 53rd state of U.S

many of them dont but most people cant even tell the differences between any form of english

1) American English is not the standard. A lot of teachers of English in other countries are Indian and they speak the Queen's English. :-)
2) English is not a beautiful language because it's borrowed words from so many other languages it's become a mish-mash. However, it does sound nicest when spoken by an Indian because they have such an interesting accent.
3) Beautiful spoken languages include Italian and other Romance languages as well as Korean, at least one of the Chinese languages (not Mandarin).
